- Program Coordinator
I spent my early years iin Calgary, Alberta. Born in 1941 in England during WW11 as my father was in the Canadian Infantry and married my English mother.
Worked in the oil business as a clerk and then embarked on a musical career taking me as far as Winnipeg, where I met my wife Aprille.
Started with a construction material supply company in a clerical position in Winnipeg and then over 45 years through various management positions in Regina, Calgary and Vancouver all with the same company, and eventually became a partner and retired as Vice President Marketing and Business Development. During this time I became very active in various construction associations and became Chairman of the Vancouver Regional Construction Association in 1992. I am still chairing their Awards of Excellence program where I lead a group of judges and review all of the major industrial, commercial and residential projects culminating in an annual award ceremony in October every year.
Aprille and I raised 4 sons and we have 8 grandchildren, all residing in the Lower Mainland. I was widowed in 2011 after 48 years of marriage. Aprillle and I travelled throughout Europe and North America. I joined the WhiteRock Seniors Computer Club at the invitation of Ric McWilliams in 2011. I did take last year off but would like to once again renew my membership. I like meeting people and have had a lot of experience with managing and organizing volunteer associations. I also have a real interest in technology and try and keep up with current trends.
